About the session

Plant Empowerment training supports growers in creating greenhouse conditions where plants can actively regulate their own processes by balancing energy, climate and crop needs.

During this full-day session, you will be introduced to the core principles of Plant Empowerment, followed by a deep dive into practical focus areas relevant across different greenhouse systems. The program combines theory with real-world applications and leaves room for discussion, allowing participants to bring in their own challenges and questions.

Topics may include:

  • Greenhouse climate and plant activity
  • Maintaining crop uniformity
  • Ventilation strategies
  • From sensor data to actionable insights
  • Light Use Efficiency and RTR (Ratio Temperature Radiation)

Ton Habraken – Greenhouse Climate Expert

Ton Habraken is a Plant Empowerment consultant with extensive experience in greenhouse climate control, plant physiology and data-driven growing strategies. He combines deep technical knowledge with a practical approach, helping growers understand how plants respond to climate and how to steer towards optimal conditions. His expertise includes ventilation strategies, crop activity, and translating complex sensor data into clear, actionable insights.
