Making smart use of heat, water, and nutrients

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, Glastuinbouw Nederland, Kas als Energiebron, Plant Empowerment, TomatoWorld, Saint-Gobain Cultilene, Van der Ende Group, Hoogendoorn Growth Management, and LetsGrow are jointly organizing an inspiring grower event at TomatoWorld in Honselersdijk.

The central theme of the afternoon: making smart use of heat, water, and nutrients based on the plant’s needs. Participants will gain up-to-date, practical insights on how to save and reuse these vital resources for more sustainable and efficient cultivation.

Why join this event?

  • Learn about heat recovery, irrigation based on plant demand, water purification, and nutrient reuse from drain water, plus practical steps to calculate and reduce your hortifootprint.
  • Gain insights from experts from Wageningen University & Research, Cultilene, Van der Ende Group, Hoogendoorn, and LetsGrow.
  • Be inspired by guest speaker Reinier van den Berg, a well-known Dutch meteorologist and sustainability advocate.
  • Network and exchange knowledge during the closing drinks session.
  • This event is aimed at Dutch growers who want to make their cultivation strategy more sustainable and efficient. Together with our partners, we’ll show how residual flows can be turned into real value β€” for both your plants and your business.
