About the workshop

Plant Empowerment is a data-driven growing philosophy that helps growers understand how plants interact with their environment and how greenhouse conditions can be optimized to support natural plant processes. By balancing energy, water, climate, and plant activity, growers can create stronger, more resilient crops and make better decisions based on data.

This full-day workshop, divided into four in-depth sessions, is relevant for growers across a wide range of greenhouse crops. Special attention will be given to leafy greens and ornamental crops, including gerberas and orchids, but the principles and practical insights apply to many other cultivation systems as well.

The program combines theory, practical examples, and interactive discussions, giving you the opportunity to connect the concepts directly to your own growing challenges.

Topics may include:

  • Greenhouse climate and plant activity
  • Ventilation and humidity strategies
  • Light Use Efficiency and RTR (Ratio Temperature Radiation)
  • From sensor data to actionable insights

Why should you attend this workshop?

This workshop is ideal for growers and horticultural professionals who:

  • Are interested in Plant Empowerment but have not yet implemented it
  • Want to understand how to apply the principles in practice
  • Grow leafy greens or ornamental crops such as gerberas and orchids
  • Want to use greenhouse data more effectively
  • Are looking for practical tools to improve crop uniformity, resilience, and performance

By the end of the day, you will have a clear understanding of the Plant Empowerment principles and how to start applying them in your own greenhouse.
