On June 30, 2026, plant health specialist Mark van der Werf will host a free webinar “Understanding pH & Eh”, exploring one of the most fascinating concepts behind plant health. During this session, he’ll explain in a simple and practical way how the balance between pH and Eh can help you better understand how plants work from the inside out.

Understanding pH & Eh
The relationship between pH and Eh
During the recent Plant Empowerment Summer School, one topic sparked more discussion than any other: the relationship between pH and Eh (redox potential). Although these concepts sound highly scientific, participants discovered that understanding them provides a surprisingly simple way to better understand how plants function from the inside out.
Because of the overwhelming interest, we’ve decided to make one of the webinars from our Plant Health Program temporarily available free of charge.
From chemistry to electrical balance
The webinar, “Understanding pH & Eh”, introduces the concept of Eh-pH homeostasis and explains why plant health is about much more than supplying nutrients or applying crop protection products.
Instead, it focuses on the plant’s internal balance: the interaction between energy production through photosynthesis and the uptake of water and minerals. When these processes work together efficiently, the plant can build its own natural resilience.
The first step in a bigger journey
This webinar is part of module 3 of the Plant Health Program. Other modules dive deeper into topics such as fertilisation strategies and nutrient availability, the role of the root system and rhizophagy and translating plant physiology into practical greenhouse management
Participation is free, but registration is required.
